Guide on Accessibility

Here at Marymount Manhattan College, there is currently a Digital Accessibility Initiative (D.A.I.) to make all content equally accessible to all students, faculty, and the MMC community as a whole. This Lib Guide was created to provide information about the Office of Disability Services, Assistive Technology, and accessibility tools for the benefit of faculty and students. Whether a video, digital handout or any other content posted to Blackboard, this guide will help to make sure that the content is fully accessible. Please see the menu on the left for specific information, guidelines, and examples of how to edit digital content to make it accessible.

In addition, for information regarding accessibility, you can contact Michael S. Johnson, the Assistive Technology Specialist for Disability Services. Michael has been an Assistive Technology Specialist for 4 years and a technology specialist for twenty years. He has worked at Marymount for almost two years specializing in Assistive Technology training and is spearheading the Digital Accessibility Initiative. His office is located in Carson Hall, Room 412 and the phone is 212-774-0782 (ext.782).
